Daniella – Age 16 Student

My daughter, Daniella, has been nagging me for a few years to enroll her in guitar lessons. With my busy schedule as a single mom finding lessons that would fit our lifestyle has been difficult. A flyer for Sid’s Guitar Lessons appeared on my door the week before Daniella’s 16th birthday. I called Sid and he was able to schedule her first lesson on her birthday just 4 days before her birthday. She was so surprised and thrilled to finally have the opportunity to learn to play the guitar. She says it’s one of the best birthday presents that I have ever given her.

Within a few weeks she was able to play some simple songs that she proudly did so for a few family members and friends. She was so excited and it really helped to build her self confidence. Daniella has not always been the most diligent about practicing. Sid has always been supportive, encouraging, positive and extremely patient. He is quick to diagnose the difficulties Daniella is having with new tasks and shows her how to correct the problem in order to accomplish her goals.

Learning to play an instrument takes work. There is no way around that. Sid has shown Daniella ways to do this so it does not seem so much like work but more like fun. He teaches different styles and tasks so that her lessons are never monotonous or what your typical teenager would call “boring”. I sit through most of Daniella’s lessons and am always impressed with how patient and positive Sid can be no matter how frustrated Daniella becomes. He has a way of quickly diffusing her frustration and redirecting her to the path she needs to take to be successful in whatever she is attempting.

I am very happy to have found Sid as a teacher for my child. I would recommend him to anyone of any age and any skill level. Sid reads people well and adapts his techniques to fit the person. He doesn’t just do One Size Fits All lessons. He provides individualized stimulating lessons that keep his students interested while building their abilities in a positive and uplifting environment. I am looking forward to Daniella’s continued success, and hope to take her soon to see her teacher perform one Saturday Night at the Retro Grill.
